Meet our spunky batch of 5 babies!

Our very first FuryHaus litter arrived in October 2024—an experience filled with intensity, emotion, and unforgettable memories. Thalia went into labor right on her due date, just after midnight. What followed was a whirlwind of teamwork, anticipation, and deep love.

We were beyond grateful to have the support of close friends and family during the whelping process. Emily (@vendettathegsd) spent the night and was an incredible help, and my husband took time off work to lend a hand with our other animals so I could focus entirely on Thalia and her pups.

By 5 a.m., six healthy puppies had been safely delivered. Thalia handled her first litter with remarkable instinct and calmness—just as we had hoped she would. After a brief rest, it became clear there was one more puppy still to come. With no contractions for several hours and oxytocin offering no results, we made the decision to take Thalia to the vet for an X-ray. Sure enough, puppy seven was in position.

Back home, Thalia began pushing as soon as she got outside to potty. Sadly, despite our efforts to revive her for over 30 minutes, the final puppy—a large baby girl—had spent too long in the birth canal and passed due to fluid in her lungs. We carry her memory with us as part of this litter’s story.

The remaining six puppies thrived from day one, with Thalia proving to be a nurturing, attentive mother. This foundational litter holds a special place in our hearts—they mark the beginning of our journey at FuryHaus and represent everything we strive to produce: strong, stable, well-rounded German Shepherds raised with intention, love, and purpose.
